Okay, so here we go...details from the 12-mo check:
Sean: 18 lbs, 14 oz (3%) and 29 3/8 inches (34%)
Luke: 18 lbs, 8 oz (3%) and 29 3/4 inches (42%)
Charlotte (the peanut!) 17 lbs, 4 oz (3%) and 28 1/4 inches (18%)
They're small but healthy! The doctor encouraged us to butter/oil up everything they eat, and make sure it's high in (good) fat. She warned this trend will probably continue a while longer since they're so incredibly active at this age, but since they're eating well and developing on schedule there's nothing to be concerned about. Everything else checked out fine. I asked about a lead test due to all the toy recalls (even tho we didn't have any of the recalled stuff, I was concerned because it keeps expanding) and she said she's done a bunch of tests recently and even the kids with recalled toys came back low. So we held off. I was a little concerned about the whole verbal/communication thing because they haven't really said a word yet and she said as long as they have a few playful responses going...like they clap to patty cake, wave hi or bye, etc...that was age appropriate. She said by 15 months to definitely expect some communication.
And the best news...we're officially done with "adjusted age"...yay! Reviewing all their current skills, they're performing like normal 12-mo olds. We're just regular old kids now!

Big congrats on being "regular" kids now... if there is such a thing!
Whooo hooo! Sounds like an awesome checkup!
Hooray! As the mom of a former preemie, I know how exciting it is to say goodbye to adjusted age.
I found you through a triplets site, and wonder if you would consider stopping by my site to offer some advice for a newly pregnant triplet mom, and if other triplet moms read your site, would you consider posting it for them to go to?
Many thanks!
